Job summary

Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Senior Broadcast Engineer to act as a senior technical resource for control room and production systems. You will lead complex issue resolution, implement system improvements, and assist in planning maintenance and event readiness.

Reporting to the Director, Broadcast Engineering, you will provide guidance to engineers, support live operations, and escalate significant risks when needed.

Qualifications

• At least five years of broadcast engineering or comparable live production systems experience.
• Experience providing technical support during live events and maintaining broadcast systems.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and document technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex broadcast system issues, including ST 2110, PTP, multicast, routing, audio/video, and control.
• Configure and support control room equipment and validate workflows (routing, tally, intercom).
• Develop maintenance plans and perform approved software/firmware updates.
• Assist with installations, commissioning, and vendor coordination with the Director, Broadcast Engineering.
• Troubleshoot ingest, transcoding, graphics delivery, and playback; coordinate with LED/IPTV staff and timing/scoring operators.
• Maintain engineering drawings, signal-flow diagrams, and incident logs; improve troubleshooting procedures.
• Lead rehearsals and line checks with production staff and visiting crews; communicate readiness and open issues.
• Train engineers and technicians, provide guidance, and document troubleshooting processes.
