Job summary

Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Director of Broadcast Engineering to lead the reliability and development of the control room and production infrastructure. This on-site role reports to the Senior Director, Facilities Presentation and manages the engineering team to ensure event readiness and high‑quality broadcasts.

You will supervise Video and Audio Engineering, own SMPTE ST 2110 environments, coordinate with IT, VPs, visiting productions, and union crews, and drive preventive

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of broadcast engineering experience.
• 3+ years supervising technical staff and leading projects.
• Experience designing and supporting SMPTE ST 2110 systems.
• Strong skills in signal flow, cabling, and documentation.
• Ability to manage budgets and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams, coach staff, and set priorities.
• Coordinate events with production, IT, and visiting teams.
• Own SMPTE ST 2110 infrastructure and related systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance and redundancy plans.
• Lead incident response and post‑mortem reviews.
• Oversee projects, vendor management, and handovers.
