Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America seeks a General Manager of Operations for our De Soto, Kansas lithium-ion battery manufacturing campus. The role leads Production Managers and allied leaders to drive safety, quality, and cost performance while advancing plant strategy and growth initiatives.

You will champion Lean and Six Sigma programs, develop workforce capabilities, and manage budgets and capacity expansion to support continuous improvement and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Managers and operational leaders to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
• Develop operational goals, performance measures, and workforce plans.
• Oversee budgeting, labor utilization, and resource allocation for assigned areas.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with plant strategy and business goals.
