Job summary

Securian Financial Group seeks a strategic leader to mature Associate Experience as an enterprise capability within HR, shaping strategy, structure and measures. You will turn listening insights into action, connecting associate experience with DEI and business outcomes across HR and the enterprise.

The role requires 10+ years in Associate Experience and strong data-driven storytelling to influence executives and drive improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, organizational psychology, business, sociology, behavioral science, analytics or a related field.
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Employee/Associate Experience, diversity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness, culture, talent, people analytics or related disciplines, including people leadership experience.
Demonstrated success building or evolving an Employee/Associate Experience capability, strategy or listening and measurement practice within a complex organization.
Strong capability in employee research, listening strategy, qualitative methods, workforce analytics and experience measurement.
Demonstrated ability to use data, associate feedback and external research to uncover insights, tell a compelling story and influence executive-level decisions and organizational action.
Experience with human-centered design, design thinking, employee journey mapping, service design or related approaches.
Strong ability to influence and drive action across HR, business and enterprise functions without relying on formal authority.

Responsibilities

Shape the Associate Experience by building and evolving strategy, structure, roadmap and practices to measure and improve the experience.
Develop a holistic view of the associate journey from attraction to departure to identify opportunities.
Apply human-centered design and journey mapping to understand associate needs and improve moments that matter.
Help steward the Associate Value Proposition across the associate experience.
Lead listening and insights by coordinating surveys, pulse listening, feedback, qualitative research and benchmarks.
Use data to identify patterns across populations and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leaders.
Establish meaningful measures and feedback loops to show progress and link feedback to action.
Partner to connect associate sentiment to broader organizational priorities.
Embed equity, inclusion and belonging as a core lens across strategy and culture.
Incorporate DEI into talent practices and decisions; identify gaps and bias in outcomes and experiences.
Leverage data to ensure equitable outcomes and drive focused actions with executives.
Collaborate with executive sponsors and ERGs to support governance and enterprise priorities.
Keep approaches informed by workforce trends and leading practices.
Lead the Function Lead, develop and inspire the DEI and Associate Experience team; set priorities and measures.
Oversee affirmative action, equal employment opportunity and regulatory responsibilities with Legal and Compliance.
Represent Securian externally and maintain connections to evolving Associate Experience and DEI practices.
