Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Manager, Applied Science to lead a team expanding the aiR agentic harness for greater capability and reliability. You will guide architectures, evaluations, and production monitoring, ensuring dependable results and defensible analyses.

You will partner with product, engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and legal experts to scale impact and communicate technical insights with clarity to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in computer science or a quantitative discipline is required.
• 6+ years in applied AI/ML, including at least 1 year in a people-leader role.
• Deep applied AI/ML and deployment engineering experience building production-ready AI systems.
• Fluency with modern generative AI as part of larger systems.
• Machine-learning rigor with data-driven evaluation and error analysis.
• Strong software-engineering judgment and programming skill.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists: hire, coach, set direction, and develop people toward their best work.
• Set the technical and scientific bar: shape architectures, review designs, and dig into problems alongside your team.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end, from framing to evaluation, error analysis, and production monitoring.
• Choose the right problems, from agentic assistants to large-scale review, and decide where to invest.
• Partner with product, engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and legal experts to take ideas from PoC to production at scale.
• Communicate with precision to your team, leadership, and customers, translating technical nuance into actionable decisions.
• Represent Relativity at industry conferences, events, and with customers.
