Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in CS or quantitative field; 6+ years in applied AI/ML and 1+ year as a people leader.
• Production-ready AI systems experience and ownership through the production lifecycle with engineering teams.
• Fluency with modern generative AI as part of larger systems; sound reliability judgment.
• Machine-learning rigor with data understanding and statistical thinking.
• Strong software engineering judgment and programming skills.
• Ownership mindset beyond the immediate team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists: hire, coach, set direction, and develop people.
• Set the technical and scientific bar; shape architectures, review designs, and tackle hard problems with the team.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end from framing to evaluation and production monitoring.
• Choose problems; decide where to invest across agentic assistants and large-scale review.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and customer teams to productionize ideas at scale.
• Translate technical nuance for leadership and customers; incorporate customer feedback.
