Job summary

PEAK6 AI Strategies seeks a founding Head of Product to own and ship the agentic platform across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and back-office workflows. You\'ll drive the transformation roadmap, sitting with ops teams to map workflows and optimize for margin.

You\'ll prototype ideas, read code, and influence what current AI models can reliably do in production, while guiding acquisitions and platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years product ownership experience.
• Built something from nothing—a startup, side project with real users, or load-bearing internal tool.
• You prototype your own ideas, you can read code, and you have strong intuitions about what current models can and can\'t reliably do in production.
• You\'re energized by unglamorous, high-stakes domains where margin really lives.
• Ambition is the baseline; grit and follow-through matter.
• You move fast, hold a high bar, and want to work with people who do the same.
• Ability to be in our HQ 5x a week if located in Austin.

Responsibilities

• Own the product. Define and ship the agentic platform that runs underwriting support, claims, policy servicing, and back-office workflows across our operating companies. You set the roadmap.
• Deploy forward. Spend real time inside the operating businesses—map workflows, find the 20% of the work that yields 80% of the cost, then build against it.
• Move the P&L. Ensure launches show up in unit economics within a quarter.
• Shape the thesis. When evaluating acquisitions, assess which workflows are most transformable and what the platform needs to absorb the next one faster.
