Job summary

August is seeking a Community & Partnerships Lead in New York City to design and host events that unite lawyers, engineers, product leaders, and AI enthusiasts. You will build a cross‑industry network and drive outbound partnerships, treating events as growth channels while coordinating media and content efforts.

You will own the event lifecycle, manage budgets and vendors, and collaborate with press, analysts, and industry leaders to position August as a leader in applied AI for professional

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in tech, AI, or B2B SaaS and broad ecosystem knowledge.
• Strong network of lawyers, CIOs, innovation directors, and tech leaders for in-room engagement.
• Proven event planning and hosting experience across dinners, conferences, panels, and roundtables.
• Outbound and sales mindset; treat events as a sales channel with proactive outreach.
• Natural connector who fosters conversations and lasting impressions.
• Highly organized with multi-event juggling, RSVPs, budgets, and vendors.
• Self-starter who acts on opportunities without waiting for instructions.
• Media savvy for outreach to press, analysts, and industry influencers.

Responsibilities

• Design and host multi-format events (dinners, conferences, panels) that attract legal, tech, and AI professionals.
• Build and maintain a broad network across the tech and AI ecosystem.
• Execute proactive outbound: LinkedIn, email campaigns, warm introductions, conference targeting.
• Treat events as a revenue channel and track ROI in the CRM system.
• Co-host events with AI companies, tech platforms, and law associations; convert attendees into customers and partners.
• Coordinate media appearances, podcasts, and written contributions; turn events into content.
