Job summary

August, the world’s first autopilot for legal services, is hiring a Legal Product Champion in NYC. You’ll bridge law practice needs with product, guiding midsize firms through AI-driven transformation and adoption of August’s platform.

As a lawyer and product thinker, you’ll translate practice workflows into tangible product features, partner with firms, and shape a new function at August. This role offers fast growth, equity upside, and in-person collaboration in New York.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice law.
• 2–6 years practicing at a law firm (BigLaw or midsized).
• Deep understanding of law firm workflows (litigation or corporate).
• Curiosity about AI and how it reshapes practice.
• Strong communicator with partners, associates, and engineers.
• Able to navigate ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Builder mindset; proactive and impact-focused.

Responsibilities

• Partner with firms: build trust and advise on AI integration.
• Drive adoption: lead pilots, onboarding, rollouts.
• Translate practice into product: capture pain points for product.
• Create scalable playbooks: develop training and case studies.
• Show impact: measure ROI and highlight wins.
• Shape the role: define Legal Product as we scale.
