Job summary

Harris Allied seeks a hands-on Head of Operations & AI Automation to build scalable operating processes and AI-powered workflows across our NY-based fintech. You will prototype and deploy AI-enabled tools, integrate with existing systems, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity and quality.

In this role you will work closely with leadership to design workflows, monitor performance with real-time dashboards, and establish governance for responsible AI use, security, and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building operational systems and improving complex workflows.
• Hands-on experience applying generative AI and automation to real business problems.
• Experience building tools using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable operating processes and systems across a multi-location organization.
• Identify inefficient or manual workflows and redesign them using AI, automation, and modern technology.
• Prototype and build AI-enabled operational tools using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, APIs, and automation platforms.
• Develop AI agents and workflows that automate research, reporting, data processing, decision support, and repetitive operational work.
• Connect AI tools with existing business systems and data sources.
• Build dashboards, KPIs, and performance-monitoring systems that give leadership real-time visibility into operations.
• Rapidly prototype solutions, test them with users, iterate, and move successful tools into production.
• Work directly with leadership and operating teams to identify opportunities where AI can materially improve productivity, quality, speed, and decision-making.
• Establish practical standards for AI governance, security, accuracy, and responsible use.

We are seeking a Head of Operations & AI Automation to build the operational and AI systems that will support an innovative, fast growing NY based fintech. This is a hands‑on builder role, not a traditional strategy or oversight position. We are looking for someone who can identify operational problems, design better workflows, and personally build and implement AI powered solutions that improve how the organization and clients operate. This person will partner with internal leadership and external clients to solve real world operations challenges with products that produce measurable results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build scalable operating processes and systems across a multi-location organization.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience building operational systems and improving complex workflows.
• Strong hands‑on experience applying generative AI and automation to real business problems.
• Demonstrated experience building tools and technologies such as:

• LLMs and generative AI platforms
• RAG / knowledge retrieval
• AI agents and agentic workflows
• APIs and system integrations
• Workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or similar tools

• Strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills.
• Comfortable working directly in the details rather than managing large teams or outside consultants.

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATION

You are not simply someone who develops an AI strategy or manages AI initiatives. You have personally built AI-enabled tools, workflows, prompts, agents, and can demonstrate what you built, how you built it, and the business problem it solved.
