Job summary

Flow Engineering seeks a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead the team turning signed customers into deeply embedded, growing accounts. You will own customer integrations within their engineering stacks, designing AI workflows around real processes and driving usage across teams.

The role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and revenue, owning after-sales success and expanding accounts into new programs and business units.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in forward deployed engineering or related roles.
• 2+ years leading a team.
• Strong API and data-model understanding.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI workflows.
• Track record of driving adoption and expanding accounts.
• Comfort operating across a customer organization from engineers to executives.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with setting scalable structure.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the forward deployed engineering function with hiring and operating model.
• Own customer integrations end-to-end across PLM, ALM, CAD, simulation, and issue-tracking tools.
• Design and deploy AI workflows tailored to customer requirements and processes.
• Drive product growth and usage within accounts to expand across teams and sites.
• Identify new programs and use cases; build the technical case for growth.
• Handoffs from sales engineers to convert pilots into production deployments.
• Provide field feedback to product/engineering and influence the roadmap.
• Stay hands-on: write code, build integrations, work with customer engineers when needed.
