Job summary

Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a Head of AI Ecosystem Intelligence to build and manage a live network across AI labs, startups, and investors. You will shape AI strategy, identify partnerships, and drive diligence-ready opportunities for the Executive Board.

You will be based in San Francisco with on-site presence in labs, startups, conferences, and partner events, reporting to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

Robust relationships across the Bay Area AI ecosystem across labs, startups, VCs and academia.
Track record in venture capital, strategy, startup BD, or an ecosystem role.
Technical fluency: able to read and critique AI tool demos.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a CRM-tracked network across the Bay Area AI ecosystem.
Draft ecosystem and investment insights for the Executive Board and leadership.
Source, screen, and brief startup opportunities for Hub investment decisions.
Make targeted matches between portfolio companies and needed builders/tools/partners.
Contribute frontline intelligence (trends, signals, deal flow) to briefings and analyses.
Represent Holtzbrinck with founders, researchers, and investors; bring top prospects to the table.
Report to Managing Director and brief the Executive Board regularly.
