Job summary

Drew University’s Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) seeks a Director of Accessibility Resources to evaluate documentation and approve accommodations for students with disabilities across undergraduate and graduate programs. The role ensures compliance with Section 504 and ADA, and collaborates with CAE staff to support academic success.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Four to ten years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and ADA; ability to collaborate with diverse constituencies.

Responsibilities

  • Approve and coordinate reasonable accommodations per ADA 504.
  • Liaise with students, faculty and staff to deliver accommodations.
  • Organize and deliver faculty, staff, and student development workshops on accessibility topics.
  • Lead the Drew Learning Support Program (DLSP) and the Drew Summer Transition Program; oversee workshops.
  • Oversee recruitment for the DLSP and Summer Transition program.
  • Supervise Learning Support Specialists managing caseloads.
  • Determine policies for testing accommodations and oversee proctoring arrangements.
  • Advise and monitor at-risk students and coordinate with Associate Provost.
  • Act as liaison with external agencies for student services.
  • Participate in assessment of Accessibility Resources.
