Huntington National Bank is seeking a Managing Director and Team Lead for Asset‑Based Lending Underwriting in Detroit, MI. You will lead a nationally based team, structure credits, and deliver disciplined risk management with timely execution.

You will partner with business development, portfolio management, and legal to drive prudent growth while ensuring compliance with OCC guidance and internal credit policies. This role demands strong leadership and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• 10+ years in ABL underwriting or credit risk roles.
• 2+ years leading underwriters or a formal team lead role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the ABL underwriting team.
• Underwrite and approve new money, amendments, and renewals across revolvers and term loans.
• Provide risk‑based recommendations and ensure compliance with OCC ABL guidance.
• Oversee collateral diligence, borrowing base reviews, and reporting.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on policy interpretation and process improvements.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive prudent growth and portfolio performance.
