Job summary

Huntington Commercial Bank is seeking a Managing Director and Team Lead for Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Underwriting. You will lead a nationally based team responsible for structuring and due diligence of ABL facilities for private, sponsor-owned and public companies, delivering high-quality credit recommendations and disciplined risk management.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive prudent growth, manage risk, and ensure timely execution aligned with policy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in ABL underwriting.
• 2+ years leading underwriters or a formal team lead role.

Responsibilities

• Set team strategy and capacity plan; assign work and coach underwriters to elevate quality and speed.
• Lead hiring, mentoring, and performance management to grow ABL structuring capabilities.
• Oversee underwriting of new money, amendments, renewals across revolvers, term loans, and seasonal lines with clear risk mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with ABL Business Development on prescreens and proposals including structuring of the ABL facility.
• Present complex credits to senior credit forums with crisp risk–reward articulation and stress case analysis.
• Ensure collateral controls, borrowing-base discipline, and governance align with OCC ABL guidance.
