Job summary

UPMC is recruiting for a Pathologist in the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence. The candidate will join a four-pathologist COE with strong ties to Head and Neck Surgical and Medical Oncology, and a robust translational pathology program at the Hillman Cancer Center.

The position offers guaranteed protected time, opportunities for leadership in diagnostic and research initiatives, and teaching responsibilities for fellows and residents at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside Hospitals.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, Board certified in Anatomic Pathology; subspecialty training in head and neck pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Strong record of scholarly activity and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out of surgical pathology cases as part of a busy Head and Neck COE.
• Provide leadership and guidance to develop and leverage diagnostic and research initiatives.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck pathology fellows and pathology residents.
• Collaborate with Head and Neck COE Director on service roles and operations.
• Participate in COE meetings and national/international representation.
