Head Sales Strategist – US. Wholesale Sales

Job Objective and Summary :

Fully responsible for domestic sales growth for each of the various brands through independent retail stores. Evaluate current brand sales performance and develop fluid plans to execute successful annual growth strategies for each brand in a changing economic climate. Mentor and develop the sales team to achieve results in line with the Company's annual growth goals. Work together with marketing to achieve the sales growth objectives. Reports to the Executive Vice President, Brand Director, CFO, and CEO. This position is on-premise Dallas Based.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Using key qualitative and quantitative sales growth performance metrics, create, articulate, and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet growth objectives that align with the company’s goals and brand visions.
  • Manage and build strategic long-term relationships with existing and new independent retailers, presenting a strong understanding of their business model to maximize sales and profitability for its retailers and Watters.
  • Manage and monitor actual sales with your regional sales managers and ensure sales targets for each brand are meeting or exceeding forecast goals. Adjust strategies based on changing market conditions, retail customer feedback, and internal factors to stay on track.
  • Work alongside design and marketing to optimize sales for each individual brand.
  • Direct effective training regimes for the regional sales managers to execute their respective goals.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts and follow through based on executing your sales strategies.
  • Generate executive reports and presentations using key performance indices of sales.
  • Must be open to travel for trade shows, to sales members, retailers, and other store and brand events such as pop-ups and trunk shows.

Qualifications :

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of increasing wholesale sales revenues and meeting sales targets.
  • At least 7 years of experience in wholesale with 3 years in a leadership role. Omni-channel experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Multitasking ability and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Direct knowledge of the apparel industry, markets, and products.
