Role Purpose

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Head Housekeeper, you’ll assist the Operations Manager by supervising all aspects of housekeeping and laundry, ensuring high standards are maintained.

Key Accountabilities

People

• Manage daily staffing requirements, assign work, and set performance and development goals for staff. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to manage conflicts and improve performance.
• Ensure all employees are trained in compliance with safety and governmental regulations, and have the necessary tools and equipment.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and support housekeeping staff during peak periods.

Guest Experience

• Inspect public areas, guest rooms, linens, and equipment for cleanliness and repair; advise on improvements.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest suites to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests to achieve complete satisfaction.
• Attend to the needs of VIPs and repeat visitors.

Financial

• Assist in preparing the departmental budget and monitor expenses, focusing on productivity.
• Maintain inventory levels, managing costs related to supplies and labor, including linen reuse and laundry operations.

Responsible Business

• Order supplies and equipment efficiently, minimizing waste and supporting green initiatives.
• Manage procedures for security of lost and found items.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may serve as manager on duty.

Accountabilities

This is the top supervisory role in the Housekeeping Department, supervising a small team of staff.

Key Skills & Experiences

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of housekeeping and supervisory experience.
• Ability to speak the local language(s).

The hourly pay rate for this role is $25.95.
