Job summary

Colts Neck Golf Club is seeking a seasoned golf professional to lead our team and elevate the member and guest experience at a private/semi-private club in Colts Neck, NJ.

The successful candidate will oversee a diverse golf staff, manage budgeting and finances, and collaborate with F&B and course maintenance to ensure consistency across the club. PGA of America membership and a bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PGA of America membership required.
• At least 5 years experience at private or semi-private clubs.
• Strong background in finance and budgeting is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including budgeting, Excel, Golf Genius, and point of sale.
• Golf shop merchandising experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a golf staff including a full-time seasonal assistant, a full-time year-round director of instruction, and ~12 part-time seasonal employees.
• Organize and administer a modest club tournament schedule and support ladies and men's leagues and their directors.
• Work closely with F&B and course maintenance to ensure club-wide consistency.

Overview

The successful candidate will have at minimum a bachelors degree and will be a member in good standing of the PGA of America. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership and management to insure that both members and daily fee guests receive an experience that exceeds golfers expectations.

Experience Required

• 5 years experience at private and or semi-private clubs.
• Work experience at privately owned clubs is a plus.
• Work as a First Assistant Golf Professional, with managerial responsibilities is a plus.
• Head professional at a semi-private club is a plus.
• A strong background in finance and budgeting is a plus.
• Strong computer skills are a plus including but not limited to budgeting, EXCEL, Golf Genius, and point of sale.
• Golf Shop merchandising experiende is a plus.

Essential Responsibilities

An engaging personality with the ability to handle the stress of a high volume daily fee course as well as the attention of an active membership is imperitive.The successful candidate will lead and manage a golf staff consisting of a full time seasonal assistant, a full time year round director of instruction, and 12 +/- partime seasonal employees that provide both golf shop support and outside operations support. The golf staff will organize and administer a modest club tournament schedule and support ladies and men's leagues and their directors. The golf professional will work closely with F & B and course maintenence to insure consistency club wide.
