Paterson Public Schools seeks coaches for the spring sports season in Paterson, NJ. Positions require NJ teacher or substitute teacher certification, and daily availability during the season. Qualifications

• Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually
• One year to complete a course in Sports First Aid after hire
• Alternatives to above qualifications may be acceptable
• Budget-dependent posting; open for ten consecutive days following posting date or until filled

Season Dates:

March 8, 2027- June 13, 2027

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder


• Coaching experience preferred, but not required


• Must be available daily during the spring sports season


• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both


• Must obtain a \"Concussion Awareness and Wellness\" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually


• Must Obtain a \"Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness\" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.


• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in \"Sports First Aid\".

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable


• Pending budget availability


• All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled
