Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking coaches for the winter sports season. Season Dates: Dec. 1, 2026 - Feb. 22, 2027.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher's Certificate or Substitute Teacher Certificate, with proof of experience for substitute certificate holders. CPR and AED certifications must be current. Additional requirements include Concussion Awareness and Wellness and Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificates, renewed annually; coaching experience preferred; one year

Qualifications

Job description

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available daily during the WINTER sports season
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
