Job summary

Paterson Public Schools seeks seasonal coaches for the spring sports season. Season runs March 9, 2027 – June 14, 2027. Applicants must hold a New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate, with experience for substitutes, plus CPR/AED certification.

Concussion Awareness and Heat Acclimatization certificates must be current. All new coaches have one year to complete a Sports First Aid course. Posting remains open for ten days following the district posting date.

Job description

Season Dates:

March 9, 2027- June 14, 2027

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available daily during the spring sports season
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Pending budget availability
• All posting are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted on the Paterson Public Schools website
