Job summary

Paterson Public Schools in New Jersey invites applications for coaching roles for the spring sports season. Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher's Certificate or Substitute Teacher Certificate and be available daily during the season.

CPR and AED certification are required, with current certificates, plus certificates in Concussion Awareness and Wellness and Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness, renewed annually.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; requires experience proof for substitute holders.
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be available daily during the spring sports season.
• Certified in CPR and AED, with valid certificates.
• Must obtain Concussion Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• Must obtain Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• One year after hire to complete Sports First Aid course.
• Alternatives to qualifications may be accepted by the Superintendent.
• Posting is contingent on budget availability.
• Open for ten consecutive days from posting date.

Season Dates:

March 9, 2027- June 14, 2027

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available daily during the spring sports season
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Pending budget availability
• All posting are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted on the Paterson Public Schools website
