Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Palm Springs is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced frontline team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will supervise cashiers, assist with store operations, and help schedule breaks while ensuring safety and cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• 18+ with high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude and strong customer interaction.
• Operate front-end equipment; register, calculator and scanner.
• Good communication, teamwork, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs and move carts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Handle customer issues at the register and ensure service excellence.
• Schedule meal and rest breaks in line with policy and law.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary steps as needed.
