Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier in San Jose to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise cashiers, assist with scheduling, hiring, and training, and ensure smooth register operations with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner and act as a role model.
• Ability to operate front end equipment and perform basic math with accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
• Capable of multi-tasking and staying organized in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull carts as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Ensure excellent customer service by directing Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Support in handling customer questions and register issues.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and law.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and address disciplinary actions as needed.
