Agri Supply is seeking a full-time Head Cashier for our Petersburg, VA, store. This position interactswith customers, providing a positive experience and ensuring that other cashiers are prepared to do the same,and manages all store funds while maintaining a current record of all Accounts Receivable daily.

Job Duties:

• Account for all store monies movement ( Petty cash, register tills, deposits and drafts, gift cards, etc) as well as responsible for keeping accurate store AR and AP records and Tax reporting files.
• Investigate discrepancies and present issues to management.
• Serve as a primary store contact during working hours.
• Perform all cashiering duties as need torelieve subordinates for meals and assist in peak hours.
• Provide feedback to store management on all cashiers achievements. Troubleshoot minor performance issues and know when to escape problems to management.
• Keep front end neat and clear of hazards.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Actively participate in hiring, training and mentoring of all cashiers. Facilitate training on all cash handling and associated front end procedures.

Qualifications for the position:

• 2+ years of previous related experience
• Previous mentor or leadership experience preferred.
• Expert experience with cash registers and cash handling.
• Strong math skills. This position needs to be able to calculate change quickly and efficiently with little error.
• Helpful, courteous and positive attitude.
• Desire to work with people
• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous customer service work helpful.

Physical Expectations:

During the job, employees are regularly required tostand, sit, and/or walkfor extended periods, use their hands tohandle or control objects, andperform tasks that involve reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching. The role involves frequentlylifting or movingup to 25 pounds, with occasional requirements to handle more with assistance or equipment. Employees must also be able topush and pullusing various equipment. Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, are necessary.Verbal communicationand the ability to hear are also required for safety and coordination.
