Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions and guides them through projects
• Communicates information on stock, special orders, features, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
• Monitors cash in drawer and ensures proper change
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts and loading tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches
• Records store use items and completes daily reconciliation
• Ensures store and work area cleanliness and safety
