Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• 0–1 year experience using a computer or retail tech.
• 0–1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones/tablets.
• 1 year retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds to customer and employee questions and walks them through projects when needed.
• Communicates stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, and warranty information.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per company guidelines.
• Ensures proper monetary change for register activities.
• Assists in line vesting and staffing registers for coverage.
• Prepares register area at shift start/end and inventories supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters customer orders, prints tickets, and loads order tickets.
• Looks up product information and price matches against competitors.
• Records store use items and performs daily reconciliation duties.
• Monitors cash drawer and cash recycler levels.
• Maintains store security and reports any theft signs.
