Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer or basic digital tools.
• Less than 1 year experience with common retail technology.
• 1 year retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating and loading merchandise.
• Responds to questions by guiding customers through projects in-store.
• Communicates stock, special orders, benefits, and warranty information to customers.
• Coaches and trains associates in department duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
• Provides correct change to cashiers for register activities.
• Removes security tags and bags merchandise for customers.
• Prepares registers area and verifies functionality of scanners and supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
