Job summary

Lowe's in Gilford, NH is seeking a friendly cashier/retail associate to deliver SMART customer service, assist customers in locating merchandise, demonstrate products, and process sales at the front end. You will answer questions, support price matching, maintain clean, safe aisles, stock shelves, and help with loading merchandise while following Lowe's policies and procedures.

Experience in cash handling and prior retail experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds to customer questions, guiding them through projects in-store.
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, features, and warranty information.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Provides proper monetary change to associates for register activities.
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages and handles order processing and loading.
• Looks up product information and price matches; maintains store use lists and daily reconciliations.
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels and maintains safe, organized store areas.
