Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year experience with common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• 1 year retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise.
• Listen to and respond to questions, guiding customers through projects when necessary.
• Communicate stock, special orders, benefits, applications, and warranty information.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Operate cash register to process sales, returns and refunds per guidelines.
• Provide correct monetary change to cashiers for transactions.
• Remove security tags, verify product information, and bag merchandise.
• Prepare register area and stocking supplies at shift start/end.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
• Look up product info and price match against competitors.
• Record items used in store on use lists and complete daily cash reconciliation.
• Monitor cash in drawer and cash recycler levels; manage checkout coverage.
• Monitor store entrances/exits and assist customers or associates triggering alarms.
• Detect signs of shoplifting and communicate to management/Asset Protection.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and a safe, clean work environment.
• Adhere to safety requirements and operate various store equipment as needed.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
