Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Home Based Primary Care Medical Director to provide administrative and clinical leadership for the HBPC program. The role encompasses development of performance plans, supervision of HBPC staff, and collaboration with Primary Care, Pharmacy, Nutrition, and Social Work to ensure high-quality, coordinated veteran care.

The position requires board certification, licensure, and experience in home-based primary or primary

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible per VA policy
• MD/DO degree from an approved school
• Current full/unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency completed in an approved core specialty
• Board certification preferred for faculty status

Responsibilities

• Direct HBPC program administration and clinical oversight
• supervise physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs and pharmacists as directed
• Develop collaborative partnerships with Primary Care, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Social Work
• Monitor HBPC program performance metrics and patient outcomes
• Travel to locations in WA/OR as needed for program oversight
• Participate in night/weekend call rotations and home visits as required
