Job summary

Hill Country Wound Care in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Hyperbaric Chamber Facilities Safety Director to lead safety programs for HBOT facilities. You will develop and manage safety policies, ensure NFPA 99, UHMS, and OSHA compliance, and serve as the safety expert for all locations.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, coordinating drills, maintaining records, and guiding equipment upgrades. A strong safety background, leadership skills, and relevant hyperbaric certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in safety-related field; Bachelor's preferred is stated.
• Completion of OSHA 10 course.
• Completion of NBDHMT-certified hyperbaric courses listed.
• Active BLS/CPR certification and CHT certification ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hyperbaric safety program and update safety policies with leadership.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 99, UHMS, and OSHA standards.
• Serve on clinical safety or environment of care committee.
• Conduct chamber safety drills to improve emergency response.
• Review safety incidents and assist Medical Director in documentation.
• Maintain operation and testing of hyperbaric chamber systems and support equipment.
• Coordinate upgrades and repairs, coordinating with maintenance and contractors.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and safety records.
• Provide leadership and safety training to staff, new employees, and patients.
• Conduct in-service education on hyperbarics and safety procedures.
• Orient and educate patients on hyperbaric procedures and safety protocols.
• Cross-train team members for redundancy in safety, equipment, and clinical functions.
• Provide ongoing staff and patient education on safety protocols.
