Job summary

Healogics, the leading provider of advanced wound care in the United States, seeks a Hyperbaric Safety Director to administer HBOT and ensure safe operation of chambers and oxygen systems, reporting to the Program Director.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, and HBO safety training; CHt/CHS preferred; 2+ years healthcare experience; supervisory experience preferred; proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CHt/CHS preferred.
• CHT/CHS certification preferred; HBO safety course within 5 years recommended.
• Current healthcare professional license/certification in state of practice as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, educate, and orient patients about HBOT and safe transfer per policy.
• Administer HBOT, monitor chamber performance and patient responses, adjust for safety.
• Make accurate data entries for daily HBOT treatments and maintain patient records.
• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers and oxygen systems; perform routine maintenance.
• Lead safety program activities, conduct safety drills, review incidents.
• Evaluate equipment/supplies for safety compliance and remove hazards.
• Collaborate with Program Director and medical staff for upgrades/repairs.
• Develop and annually revise department policies and procedures.
• Provide in‑service training on hyperbaric safety and emergency responses.
• Assist Medical Director with safety documentation and learning initiatives.
• Maintain NFPA 99 compliance and update safety policies.
