Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an HBM Design Architecture Intern to assist in research and performance modeling for next‑generation AI memory systems. You will work with senior engineers to analyze bandwidth and latency, refine simulators, and build trend dashboards using industry datasets.

The internship emphasizes hands-on exposure to AI system trends, memory subsystem analysis, and collaboration with mentors to shape future architectural decisions at Micron.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in EE/CE/CS or related field required.
• Must be able to work onsite for 6 months and cannot graduate before end of internship.
• Foundational understanding of computer architecture and hardware/software interaction.
• Programming experience in Python, C/C++ or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging trends in compute, networking, and storage to understand future AI workloads.
• Support HBM architecture analysis by gathering and synthesizing data related to bandwidth, latency, and memory requirements.
• Help develop or refine simulation frameworks used to model AI cluster performance and memory subsystem behavior.
• Build trend dashboards using CSP benchmarks and industry datasets.
• Collaborate with mentors to explore architectural opportunities for next-generation AI systems.
