Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using class A trucks across designated sites. The role includes operating tractor-trailers and various trailers, with a Monday–Friday schedule, occasional overnights, and weekends/holidays off except for critical needs.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid class A CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements (or able to obtain within 90 days) and pass a 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with hazardous material and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and other trailers.
• Performs LTL pickups.
• Maintains driver documents (logbooks, trip reports, manifests).
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste transport including placarding, load securement, and labeling.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
