Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Services Field Technician I in the United States. Under supervision, you will perform basic remediation, emergency response, and hazmat decontamination tasks while following detailed instructions.

Key duties include tank cleaning, spill response, equipment operation, and adherence to safety policies. Relevant safety training and a willingness to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• Read, write and comprehend operational, safety and quality instructions.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in potentially hazardous environments.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling and decontamination.
• Responds to customer spills and emergencies during and after hours.
• Maintains clean and safe work sites and equipment.
• Adheres to safety policies and regulations at all times.
• Operates pumps, generators, air compressors and other equipment.
