Job summary

Clean Harbors in Sparks, NV seeks a Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. The position requires attending a two-week out-of-state academy, with expenses covered by the company and paid training.

Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour. Benefits include health coverage after 30 days, 401K with company match, and opportunities for growth. On-call emergency response may be required on rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• This position includes emergency response; on-call; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.
• OSHA respiratory protection standard compliance.
• Previous relevant labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and working safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and various hand tools.
• Wear PPE including respirators and protective gear as required.
• Work in varied temperatures indoors and outdoors.
• Work around hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
• Assist in field sampling and meter calibration.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding and access trucks/tanks.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating schedule.
• Follow all regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
