Job summary

Clean Harbors in Sparks, NV seeks a Field Services Technician I to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

New hires will attend a two-week Academy training out of state, paid by the company. Clean Harbors provides comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth; salary starts at $20-$22 per hour with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license and clean MVR.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• On-call; occasional weekends and holidays may be required.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required by position.
• Meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection.
• Previous relevant labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety is the top priority by following policies and maintaining safe practices.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and power tools; work with vibration-producing tools.
• Wear and use a variety of PPE, including respirators.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and compliantly.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis; may work extended hours.
• Site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
• Attend safety and compliance meetings as required.
