Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to generator sites using class A trucks. The role involves operating a tractor-trailer and various trailers, with occasional straight truck duty, Monday–Friday and potential 3–4 overnights.

Expect most weekends and holidays off, with some critical schedule needs. Responsibilities include safe operation, DOT compliance, LTL pickups, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain driver documents (logbooks, manifests, trip reports).
• Ensure safe loading, placarding, and labeling per HAZMAT rules.
