Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to generator sites, operating class A trucks and various trailer types. The role includes occasional straight truck work, a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overnight shifts, and weekends/holidays off except for critical needs.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain documentation, follow DOT regulations for hazmat handling and waste labeling, and use company mobile

Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform loading/unloading tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain driver records and manifests.
• Comply with DOT hazmat regulations, loading securement, labeling, and placarding.
• Inspect vehicles pre-trip and post-trip; communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
