Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A tractors, roll-offs, tankers, and vans. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage waste manifests, and ensure DOT compliance, with strong customer communication.

The role includes 3–4 overnight shifts per week, occasional weekends, and mandatory HazMat/Tanker endorsements and HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• MVR must meet company standards.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifests management.
• Maintain driver documents (logbooks, permits, trip reports).
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste including placarding and load segregation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and participate in site safety programs.
