Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using class B trucks, including roll-offs and tankers. The role may require occasional straight trucks and involves 3-4 overnight shifts, with most weekends and holidays off.

You will comply with DOT hazmat rules, maintain logs, manifests, and trip reports, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and interact with customers to ensure satisfaction while

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Must pass 40-hour HazWOPER Training on hire
• MVR must meet company standards

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers and box trucks
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifests
• Maintain driver documents: logbooks, permits, trip reports
• Follow DOT hazmat regulations for packaging, labeling, load segregation and placarding
• Conduct DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Support site safety programs and training
