Job summary

PVS Chemicals is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently deliver chemical products to customers. You will represent the company on the road, verify shipments, and maintain paperwork while following all safety and regulatory protocols.

Ideal candidates have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, 2 years of hazardous chemical experience, and strong attention to detail. The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds and adherence to DOT regulations in a on-site WV work setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• 2 years of experience delivering hazardous chemicals preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Basic computer skills; able to complete paperwork.
• Ability to lift 30–60 pounds repeatedly.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and chemical labeling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely, efficiently delivering product to customers as the face of PVS Chemicals.
• Verify loads against paperwork and ensure proper securing of all shipments.
• Prepare and check shipping documents and maintain logs and forms.
• Inspect and maintain material handling equipment; report issues.
• Insure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions and checklists.
• Notify inventory control when product is missing or discrepancies occur.
• Uphold safety principles and Responsible Care guiding principles.

Overview:

The Driver is responsible for Safely, Efficiently, and Accurately delivering product to customers.

Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

• Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding Principles.
• Deliver products in a safe and efficient manner as the face of PVS Chemicals.
• Work safely by always following all the established rules of conduct.
• Verify that every incoming or outgoing load matches the paperwork.
• Notify inventory control and purchasing when product is missing in a delivery.
• Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making minor repairs, or tagging out and notifying your supervisor of issues.
• Perform housekeeping as assigned.
• Comply with all ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions and checklists.
• Prepare and check shipping documents.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured.
• Maintain logs and appropriate forms.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and containers.
• Verify unloaded material against shipping documents.
• Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are the responsibility of every PVS Employee!

Complexity of Duties:

• Chemical manufacturing and distribution focus requires basic technical knowledge and understanding of the industry.

Required Education / Competencies / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

o2 Years of experience delivering hazardous chemicals is preferred.

• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage your time and prioritize your daily tasks.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to repeatedly lift loads of 30-60 pounds.
• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Knowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirements.
• Knowledge of chemical segregation requirements.
