Responsibilities

  • Maintain logs and ensure compliance with safety policies and incident reporting.
  • Work overtime or irregular hours as needed to meet customer needs.

Job description

Location: 11202 S. 25th Street Bellevue, NE 68123

Our drivers are responsible for the safe preload and transport of chemicals and/or compressed gases in cargo tank trucks and liquid bulk tankers to and from the loading plant to the terminal yard. Responsibilities include safe pre‑ and post‑inspection, yard checks, equipment maintenance and documentation. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy hoses, cylinders, equipment (often 50‑75 lbs. or more) during loading, unloading and maintenance tasks
  • Load and unload cargo tanks, performing appropriate actions in the proper sequence
  • Frequently exert forces equivalent to lifting, up to 25 pounds or occasionally 50 pounds
  • May sit for long periods of time while driving
  • Prepare driver’s logs and other transportation documents
  • Work alone most of the normal workday
  • Work with delivery deadlines
  • Observe and respond promptly to changing conditions, such as traffic, weather, and road conditions
  • Visually inspect vehicles, loaded materials and unloading facilities at customer locations

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Candidate must reside in the Houston, Texas metro area
  • Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements Required
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission tractor Required
  • Two years’ verifiable experience operating a commercial tractor‑trailer Required
  • Clear FMCSA Clearinghouse and satisfactory MVR & PSP (good driving record) Required
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles across state lines Required
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical Required

  • Occasional travel to other plants may be required based on business needs
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and an extended workweek‑overnight and/or out of town travel may be required

  • Must be able to use three points of access to get in and out of the tractor, multiple times a day
