Description: The opportunity to be a part of a team that manufactures and distributes high quality chemicals. It is an opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of an office and plant environment including Safety, General Administration, Logistics, Vendor/Supplier Management, and Customer Service. This position is responsible for supporting all PVS Companies to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations

Key Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):

  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
  • Participate in all plant safety meetings and required safety training.
  • Assist as necessary in maintaining plant security.
  • Maintain housekeeping in production areas as well as other plant areas.
  • Start up and shut down of the production process in a safe manner and ensure the process is secure while not running.
  • Operate production equipment in a safe manner. This includes the operation of the reduction process, cleaning filter presses, maintaining fume scrubbers, operation of the oxidation process, diverting finished product to the proper storage tank and the cleaning of various filters located throughout the production process.
  • Run tests and document results of ferric and ferrous chloride produced to ensure that the product produced is within specifications. When lab technician is absent these results must be given to the assistant plant manager or plant administration coordinator.
  • Take tank samples daily and label appropriately for analysis by the lab technician.
  • Maintain at required intervals the reports and documentation necessary to record daily production numbers.
  • Maintain chlorine cars required for production. This includes the hooking up and unhooking of chlorine rail cars as well as completing the proper documentation associated with all of these processes.
  • Sign drivers in as they deliver ferrous chloride and make other deliveries while verifying that there is a sample from each driver to the plant.
  • Assist in the performance of maintenance activities as required keeping the plant operating safely and efficiently.
  • Unload trucks making deliveries to the plant. Assure these deliveries are correct by inspection of packing slip and give packing slip to plant administration coordinator once complete. Packing slip must have signature and date upon manual inventory.
  • Participate in incident investigation
  • Load trucks with various PVS Technologies Products assuring the correct product and quantities are loaded by comparing the load with the bill of lading. Assure that the bill of lading is correctly and completely filled out and a packing slip is attached to the order.
  • Conduct safety audits
  • Participate in division safety team committee when requested to.
  • Comply with all aspects of the PVS Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Policy (Nicholson Nine).
