Job summary

Savage is seeking a Night Shift, Doubles Hazmat CDL A Driver in Roosevelt, UT. Home daily with local routes and a pay per load model of $95,000–$110,000 per year.

This full-time role includes a night shift differential and a structured schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off, then 5 on / 3 off. Ideal candidates have a CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsements, with at least 6 months of CDL A experience in the past two years, plus a commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsements required.
• 6 months of CDL A experience within the past 2 years.
• 1+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in crude/petrol.
• Ability to pass Savage’s road test including inspections.
• Willingness to work days/nights/holidays.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre/post-shift vehicle inspections and address issues.
• Record locations and products handled using on-board terminals and keep paperwork neat.
• Report incidents in a timely manner as instructed.
• Contain and report any spills according to procedures.
• Participate in safety program and attend safety meetings.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
• Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
• Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
• Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsement
• 6 months of CDL A experience within the past 2 years required.
• 1+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in crude/petrol
• A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
• Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
