Job summary

Savage in North Salt Lake, UT seeks a Night Shift Doubles Hazmat CDL A Driver for local routes, home daily, with night shift differential. This full-time role requires a CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsements and 6 months of recent CDL A experience.

Responsibilities include performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, using on-board terminals to log locations and products, reporting incidents promptly, containing spills, and actively participating in the safety program with

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsement is required.
• 6 months of CDL A experience within the past 2 years.
• 1+ year CDL experience, preferably in crude/petrol.
• Commitment to a no-occurrence record: no spills, injuries, or property damage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Record locations visited and products handled using on-board computer terminals; ensure paperwork is complete, neat, legible.
• Report incidents (operational and safety-related) in a timely manner.
• Contain and report any spills according to Occurrence Reporting procedures.
• Actively participate in the safety program and attend safety meetings.

Night Shift| Doubles Hazmat CDL A Driver in North Salt Lake, UT| Home Daily| Local Routes

• Pay Per Load ($95,000 - $110,000 per year)
• Night shift differential
• Full-Time
• 5 days on / 2 days off - 5 days on / 3 days off

Work Location: 1000 W Center St, North Salt Lake, UT

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
• Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
• Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
• Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL withHazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsement
• 6 months of CDL A experience within the past 2 years required
• 1+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in crude/petrol
• A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
• Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
