Job summary

Savage is hiring a Night Shift, Local CDL A Hazmat Truck Driver in Williston, ND. You will drive home daily on local routes, with a night schedule and a $25/day differential.

Earn 400–600 per day or $100k–$120k annually (pay per load), plus $32/hour training pay and a $5,000 retention bonus. Full benefits and safety programs are provided by Savage.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• 2+ years of CDL experience, preferably in oilfield environments.
• 1+ year of crude or liquid hauling experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems.
• Sample, test, and purchase crude oil using onboard equipment at designated locations.
• Load and unload crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
• Ensure accurate documentation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance during all operations.
• Utilize onboard computer terminals to record locations visited and products handled; keep paperwork neat and legible.
• Report incidents (operational and safety-related) in a timely manner.
• Contain and report any spills according to Occurrence Reporting procedures.
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attending safety meetings.
• Transport additional chemical products as assigned.
• Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbed trailers with proper load securement and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates
• Transport additional chemical products as assigned.
• Haul oilfield tubulars on flatbed trailers, ensuring proper load securement and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements
• 2+ year of CDL Experience, preferably in an oilfield environment
• 1+ year of Crude or liquid hauling experience
• A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
• Can successfully pass Savage’s road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
