Job summary

Savage is hiring a Night Shift, Doubles Hazmat CDL A Driver for local routes in Roosevelt, UT. Home daily with night shifts and 5 days on / 2 days off. Pay per load ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 per year. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a modern fleet.

Responsibilities include pre/post-shift inspections, accurate recording with on-board terminals, timely incident reporting, spill containment, and active participation in Savage’s safety program and meetings.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsement.
• 6 months of CDL A experience within the past 2 years.
• 1+ year of CDL experience, preferably in crude/petrol.
• Commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage.
• Able to pass Savage’s road test, including a proper pre- and post-trip inspection.
• Comfortable in an oilfield environment, including ladders and exposure to flammable gases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; take appropriate action on problems.
• Use on-board terminals to record locations visited and products handled; complete paperwork neat and legible.
• Report incidents in a timely manner as instructed.
• Contain and report spills per Occurrence Reporting procedures.
• Participate in safety program and attend safety meetings; model safe behaviors.

• 5 days on / 2 days off - 5 days on / 3 days off

Work Location: 4371 W 3000 S, Roosevelt, UT 84066

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive pre and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
• Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat, and legible
• Report incidents (operational and/or safety-related), as instructed, in a timely manner
• Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
• Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and subordinates

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL withHazmat, Tanker and doubles endorsement

• Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks, and working around flammable gases and other toxic fumes
• Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements

• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
• Apply snow chains to tires
• Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
• Lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work and drive in adverse weather conditions
